Day 1 Arrival To Elementaita
On arrival we meet you at the international airport and drive for 1 ½ hrs to transfer you to lake elementaita for your relaxation for the day at the Pelican lodge.
Day 2 Elementaita
After breakfast we walk the shores this alkaline lake. this is a haven for bird watchers. you will also experience the hot gysers on this lake.Have lunch at the lodge with an option of afternoon visitto the nearby Kariandusi prehistoric site, a site first discovered by Louis Leakey. meals and overnight at the pelican lodge.
Day 3. lake nakuru
This morning we visit.The nearby Lake Nakuru National Park is the oldest park of Kenya. It's not only known for its thousands of flamingos but also for the vast herds of buffaloes, tens of rhinos and cats like leopard and lion. Of the big five only the elephant is missing. We do a game drive around the lake and have lunch at a viewpoint over the lake that is hardly visited by tourists. overnight at the pelican lodge.
Day 4. Crescent Island
A 45 minute drive after breakfast takes us to Naivasha sopa lodge.In the afternoon we do an game viewing at the privately owned Crescent Island, which is a peninsula on the eastern shore of Lake Naivasha. There is a lot of easy to see game e.g. giraffes, waterbucks, elands, zebras and impalas. It is also a heaven for birds with +200 species recorded. All meals at the naivasha sopa lodge
Day 5. Hell's Gate Hike
We wake up for breakfast with the sun giving a wonderful effect over the lake. An early morning here should not be missed by anyone with an eye for birds since the lake boasts a wide variety of water and woodland birds.After breakfast we do a short transfer to the gate of the park. This is a unique park where hiking is done in the middle of wildlife. Giraffes, zebras, warthogs and many types of gazelles are found here. The first part of this walk is done in typical flat African savanna in a volcanic area with huge rock boundaries. There are camphor and acacia trees all over and this is where to look for the giraffe as they mainly feed on them.walk down the Hell's Gate gorge. return to the lodge for lunch. relax in the afternoon.
Day 6. longonot hike
A 20 minutes transfer will find us at the base of the mt. longonot.Hills climber should not miss the opportunity to climb the immense Mt Longonot (2,776 m - 8,328 ft) rising in the arid plains of the Rift Valley. You need to count one hour to access the top of the lowest rim and 3 hours to follow the path around the narrow edge of this almost perfect conical shape crater filled with dense bushed and wooden vegetation. Come back to the lodge for lunch. Transfer to Nairobi where your safari ends.
