KENYA BUSH AND BEACH 14 DAYS 13 Nights

Day 1 Nairobi to Mara

On your arrival at the airport A Primetime Safaris representative will welcome you to Kenya. You may depart immediately for the safari if you arrive by an early morning flight, otherwise he will escort you to your Nairobi hotel for over-night stay from where we pick you the following morning.

We set off the Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at the The Ol Moran Tented Camp. After lunch our guide will take you for an afternoon of game viewing in the park. Offering an abundance of herbivores, the Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya's famous ‘big cats' and hosts her largest population of lions. It also offers the best chance of spotting a leopard in the wild. Other predators include cheetah and spotted hyena. All you will have your dinner and overnight at the Ol Moran Tented camp.

Day 2 Maasai Mara National Reserve.

After your breakfast your safari guide will lead you to a Morning and afternoon of game viewing. You may also opt for a guided nature walk. Historically teaming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that meander its plains; also for the fat pods of hippo that wallow in its mud-brown rivers. Other stars include the distinctive Maasai giraffe, plum-colored topi, Coke's hartebeest, Grant's and Thomson's gazelle, zebra, impala, Kirk's dik-dik, bush buck, water buck and red duiker. The Reserve also boasts plentiful Nile crocodile, monitor lizard, baboon, vervet, blue and red-tailed monkeys, nocturnal bush babies, and tree hyrax. There are over 550 resident and migratory species of birds. Meals and overnight at Ol Moran Tented camp.

 

Day 3 Maasai Mara game Reserve.

Take Morning and afternoon game drives. Historically teaming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that meander its plains; also for the fat pods of hippo that wallow in its mud-brown rivers. All Meals at the olmoran tented camp

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Elementaita
after your breakfast we depart for Elementaita to arrive for lunch at the pelican lodge. Afternoon will be spent taking a walk on the shores of Lake Elementaita. Dinner and overnight at the pelican lodge.

 

Day 5 Lake Nakuru National Park to Naivasha

After your breakfast visit Lake Nakuru national park for the entire morning. The park is endowed with myriads of flamingos, it is also a rhino sanctuary and you will be able to see both the white and black rhino as well as other animal species like the zebras, buffaloes and the elephants. Proceed to Naivasha for lunch at the Naivasha sopa lodge. Afternoon at leisure, or take a nature walk to view the birds or an hour’s boat ride at the lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at the Naivasha sopa lodge.

 

 

Day 6 Naivasha to Amboseli

Today you will have an early breakfast. Depart to Amboseli. Arrive for lunch at the Amboseli Sentrim Lodge, after lunch enjoy a game drive in Amboseli with the chance of spotting large herds of elephant and plentiful plains game against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. As the sun sets, enjoy exclusive sundowners overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by dinner at the Amboseli Sentrim Lodge.

Day 7 Amboseli

Take a morning game-drive in the park, which is Reserve featuring the dried-out lake bed of prehistoric Lake Amboseli, rolling Savannah and lush green swamps. The plains offer numerous antelopes, spotted hyenas, jackals, warthogs, olive baboons, vervet monkeys and the chance of spotting a lion, leopard or cheetah. Observation Hill, a conical peak, which is easily climbed, offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch take another game-drive or a guided nature walk. You may also wish to visit an authentic Maasai village with displays of dance, song and cultural pursuits. Dinner served at the Amboseli Sentrim Lodge.

Day 8 Amboseli to Tsavo

After breakfast leave for Tsavo via the chyulu hills arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Taita Hills Lodge. Tsavo West National Park's is famous for the Mzima Springs, replenished with two hundred and twenty million liters of crystal-clear water every day, from the underground streams stemming from the lava massif known as the Chyulu Hills, 40-50 kilometers away. Mzima forms a haven for a rich wildlife pageant including the elephant, hippo, crocodiles, gazelles, zebra and giraffe wandering around the banks through the thick acacias and raffia palms together with hundreds of chattering monkeys and birds. Return to After breakfast take a morning gamed rive as you proceed to Tsavo East national park. Tsavo East National Park is one of the world's largest game reserves, providing undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals including bushbuck, African wildcat, cheetah, dik-dik, African hunting dog, African dormouse, eland, African elephant, bat-eared fox, greater galago, gazelle, , gerenuk, , impala, leopard, lion, black rhinoceros, etc. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the area, including ostriches, kestrels, buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds, and herons. Have your lunch at the camp. Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Taita Hills Lodge.

Day 9 Tsavo

Morning and afternoon game drive with all meals at Sarova Taita Hills Lodge.

Day 10, Tsavo to Mombasa

Depart after breakfast for Mombasa. Drop off at the Sarova whitesands beach resort for your beach holiday. Accommodation on half board.

11, 12, 13, Mombasa

These days will be spent relaxing on the beach. Accommodation on half board at the Sarova white sands beach resort on half board.

Day 14 Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight, or take a bus or train back to Nairobi to connect to your flight back home
